I got to check out this delicious brunch spot in SoCal! I loved their strawberry pancakes and the Nashville Hot Chicken Benedict. They were beautifully plated and I had a great dining experience!
I really enjoyed the brunch here. Would recommend their eggs Benedict. The portion was huge, we could have shared and been full.
Finally got to try Popping Yolk Cafe. I know they been around for a while and there's many locations, so I was excited to finally get to try it. There wasn't a line when we went so we were able to get a seat. The service is super friendly and quick. You also get your food pretty quick. The portion is pretty big and we definitely overestimated ourselves. I had the burger and it was huge. The potatoes were delicious. I really like their ketchup, it tasted fresh and very tomato-y. The ube French toast was ok. I couldn't really taste the ube. Overall, I would recommend and return when in the area.
I have only been here teice and it's delicious. I ordered the smoked salmon croissant and really enjoyed it, but the egg in there can get things really messy. The green tea drink was very refreshing. Great service here as well. This place can get crowded in the weekends, but the waitor was very attentive and polite.
Sunday brunch with family and decided to give Popping Yolk a try. There wasn't any available seating inside so we sat in their patio. It wasn't anything special for outdoor seating and there were a lot of flies out there. We enjoyed our Norwegian Benedicts very much. The potato's were crispy and delicious too. My daughter said her barbecue pulled pork Benedict was good too. It was only the pancake that we did not enjoy. It was so dense and hard that it was inedible. The service was average, since they only bring your food out to you because we order at a register before seating ourselves.
This is a small establishment on the corner of a pretty busy promenade. We did not dine in but we did place an order to go. We ordered 2 of the ham and avocado croissants and an orange juice and that came out to about $45 dollars. The sandwiches came with a mixed greens side salad and potatoes. To be quite honest, the croissants were good, but I've had better. The potatoes were really tasty and the salad was just a salad. The orange juice was freshly squeezed and did taste great. Overall though, over priced and the food was good but don't think I'll be back because it was pricey for the type of food we ordered.
The food here is really good I go for breakfast a lot! It always seems to hit just right The service is great the ppl are great and always have good attitudes thank you guys
All food option is really delicious. All menu item stands out and they really deliver. Popping yolk burger is really good. Solid beef burger without being heavy. You can have the egg cooked however you want. We got scrambled and that's probably the best scrambled egg we've ever had. Silky, smooth. The side potatoes really hold the crunch and not oily at all. French toast is really crunchy even after being ignored for a while, probably cuz it's deep fried. Yet it's not oily or heavy and also flavor is not too sweet. Mango iced tea is 6 bucks and free refill. They taste good and they're free refill. Worth it. They have a covered patio seating that is dog friendly. You can go in to the main entrance and tell them you have a dog, then they will open the patio door. For first time visitors- they will bring you to your seats and give menu. Then you need to go up the cashier to place order and pay. They will explain all this to you, their service is top notch and they always check up without being intrusive. As with high quality food and service, you can expect to pay about $20-$25 per person. Wait time is minimum- in higher brunch demographic area, you probably will be waiting 30 minute. They are located in the vons plaza. On the other side next to JJ Bakery. You can't miss it, it's the building with bright yolk color.
Love this place in Hacienda Heights! Went on a Sunday morning at 8:30am, and it did not get crowded until after we left within the hour. You can sit, look at the menu, and then order, or if it's busy you'd want to order first then sit. I introduced my friend to the UBE French Toast! In my opinion, it's more of a dessert, but I always HAVE to have it. We ordered mimosas, Norwegian Benedict, and Crab Benedict. For the price, the portion was worth it! (see pics)
Find the bright yellow building and you've reached Popping Yolk Cafe. There's inside and outside patio seating here and can accommodate slightly bigger groups. Order at the register then you're given a number to place once you've found a table. We opted to sit outside. The food here is overpriced. Presents well, and photographs well, but expect to pay well over twenty an entree. The tables favorite was the ube French toast. It was made perfectly. Had a nice crunch, stuffed with ube, and not mushy or eggy. Second runner up was the spam kimchi omelette. We've never had anything like this before so it was a good combo for comforting breakfast food. I'd come back for these two entrees. We had a pitcher of their lychee sangria and that was a creeper. Service was excellent. Staff was attentive and met all our needs. Plenty of parking right out front, too.
